Heritage days is one of our favourite festivals in Edmonton aside from the Fringe. This three day celebration takes place every August long weekend with over 66 pavilions of the yummiest foods from around the world. With so many delicious flavours and exotic dishes to chose from we seem to always go for the same thing every year… “Empanadas!” While they don’t quite compare to the ones our mom makes, they’re still defiantly worth the 4 tickets for that cheesy goodness at the Chilean pavilion. This year we broadened our horizons with a new dessert (in addition to the “Croatian Donut” at Croatia), it was called “Tres Leches” (translation three milks) at Nicaragua, which was just perfection. The warm weather, crowds of people, and beautiful cultures reminds us that we can experience the world within our own city.
